Practice: Show and Tell
Before You Begin: Log into Microsoft Lync

Try This: Do the following steps

1. Go to the Contacts and use the Search option to Find someone.

2. Select a Contact. Click on the status bar to open the Contact Card.

3. Place a Lync Call.

4. When your Contact answers your Lync Call go to Conversation-> Share and create a Poll. Enter the following:
Poll Name: Can You Hear Me?
Green Choice: Yes, I hear you loud and clear
Yellow Choice: Sort of: There is a lot of background noise
Red Choice: No, I cannot hear you

5. Take the Poll and review the Totals.

6. Close the Poll. Hang up and Close the Conversation.

7. Stop presenting the PowerPoint. End the Lync Call.

8. Go to the Lync Conversations. Is the Lync Call, and the Poll results, listed in the Conversations?

Microsoft Lync is a collaboration tool. It also requires some practice so that you can make a professional presentation.

You will need a Contact that has Microsoft Lync to practice these steps.
